REVIVAL!

Fairhaven Baptist Church will be hosting revival meetings August 24-26! Join us for cutting-edge Bible teaching by leading Bible scholars and teachers, and music by the Daniel Smakoska Band and solo artist Allen Hebert.

Friday, August 24 at 7:00 PM -
Dr. Barry Creamer, philosopher, theologian, and Professor of Humanities at Criswell College will bring a Biblical message. Music by the Daniel Smakoska Band.

Saturday, August 25 at 7:00 PM -
Dr. Everett Berry, Professor of Theology at Criswell College, will bring message. Music by Daniel Smakoska Band and Allen Hebert.

Sunday, August 26 at 10:30 AM -
New Testament and Greek scholar Daniel Streett will bring message. Music by Daniel Smakoska Band and Allen Hebert.

Sunday, August 26 at 7:00 PM -
Dr. Jerry Johnson, President of Criswell College and host of the daily talk radio show Jerry Johnson LIVE!, will bring the message. Allen Hebert and the Daniel Smakoska Band will provide music.

The Top Ten Things You Need to Know About Fairhaven Baptist Church

10) We are family. We care for and treat one another with Christ’s love. When one member of the body suffers, the entire body suffers. When one rejoices, all rejoice. We seek to truly be the body of Christ.

9) We are family-friendly. We seek to equip you in the strengthening of your family. Children are welcome in our services and we encourage families to worship together during the week, as families, and together in the same service on Sundays.

8) We are Biblical. We are committed to doctrinal integrity and biblical exposition in our teaching, preaching, and practice. From Sunday school, to Bible study, to the preaching on God’s word during the worship service, we seek to allow scripture to pervade our lives. God’s word is central to our faith and practice.

7) We are evangelistic. We seek to reach out to the community around us with the love of Jesus. We will try to meet the community’s spiritual as well as physical needs as we are able.

6) We are hospitable. We seek to follow Christ’s command to practice hospitality among one another. Rather than see and visit with each other one day a week, we seek to emulate the early church and share meals together and develop a real friendship with each other, rather than a mere surface level acquaintance.

5) We are hands-on. We seek the discipleship and involvement of members in the life of the faith community. We encourage members to be the church, not just go to church.

4) We are personal. No matter how large we grow we will seek to know each other and be actively involved in one another’s lives. We will always seek to have a “small church feel” and have our relationships and services reflect the intimacy this creates.

3) We are traditional, yet innovative. Although we do sing old gospel songs and use a hymnbook, we also seek new and innovative ways to reach people and be relevant. Relevance is not our focus, but we are sensitive to the fact that although the gospel never changes, the ways in which we present it should be adapted in order to reach our community in the most effective manner.

2) We are genuine. None of us are perfect and none claim to be. However, we are all seeking to grow together and be transformed into the image of the One who redeemed us through his blood. We are a work in God’s process and we seek to help each other along the way.

1) We seek to honor Christ. Whether we eat or drink, or whatsoever we do, we do it all to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
